I can't take it

I'm dogsitting yet again and my connection is really crappy - yet again. The power cord for my laptop is also killing me. A hole has formed in the cord and wires are poking out. Duct tape fixed it temporarily, but now it's not working again so I have to hurry before my battery dies. I already ordered another cord which should be here sometime next week. Hopefully this one will hold out until then.

I would have done this purse/picture thing earlier, but photobucket wasn't agreeing with me and with my battery pretty dead, I wasn't getting very far. However, here I am and

My purse.

All the crap in my purse.

1. Sudoku and a pencil. I don’t typically carry Sudoku around, but I was in a hurry this morning packing for dogsitting, so I just tossed it in. I’ve lost my mojo, though. I’m stuck on a couple difficult puzzles.
2. Hair band, hair clip, bobby pins, etc. I keep those in case I need them at work (not to use all at once lol). My hair gets a little out of control if it rains or when it gets really hot and humid.
3. Keys. I have got: key to the condo, key to the mailbox, key to my parents’ house, key to work. I also have shopping cards on my key ring: one to Kroger, CVS, Blockbuster and the library. My key ring also has an OSU football keychain my mom got me, a useless green flashlight that hardly works, and my “Matt” keychain Kori got me. As she posted yesterday, she has one that says Dillon. Yeah, that’s WAY better than friendship keychains.
4. Phone. ‘Nuff said.
5. My work schedule. There’s my June schedule. July is underneath. I also do not typically carry those around, but in my rush this morning, I grabbed those because I needed to call the doctor and make an appointment.

6. Wallet. I love it. It’s a Fossil wallet that I got for like five bucks at an outlet store in Aurora, Illinois. I really adore it, even if it doesn’t match my purse at all.
7. Essentials: Eyedrops, Burt’s Bees chapstick, lotion, nail clippers. The eyedrops are essential for me because I’m allergic to freaking everything, including the dogs and cats I work with. Mostly the cats, though. Probably why I’m not a huge fan of them. The chapstick is REALLY essential because if I know I don’t have it, then I really, really need it. So I always have it, no matter what. Lotion and nail clippers are self-explanatory.
8. Coupon from Best Buy. I finally remembered to tear the coupon off and stick it in my purse, in case I ever make it to the store before … September 27th, when it expires.
9. Gum and Mints. Because I like to be minty fresh. Although, the gum is empty, so I guess I also like to carry trash in my purse.
10. My new beloved sunglasses that I have yet to lose. Because I always manage to do that.

11. Tampon. Again, self-explanatory.
12. Advil bottle. It’s got a ton of different shit in it (nothing bad though!). Let’s see here: Advil (left over from when I bought the bottle), ibuprofen, random daily vitamins that I never take, benedryl, Excedrin (that never helps my migraines, yet I still carry it), Midol.
13. Flyer stuff from the Summer Movie Series the Ohio Theatre and CAPA put on every summer. Kori and I went last night to see Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday, which was fantastic. They certainly don’t make movie stars like Cary Grant anymore.
14. Kate Spade card. It came with my Kate Spade purse, and I just keep it in the side pocket of my purse. All of her purses come with similar cards, and they have different sayings inside them. Mine says, “Occasionally she dreams of Italy. She dreams of cheese shops, persnickety fiats, and very fine leather goods.” I love Kate Spade.
15. My battered name tag for work that never stays on.
16. My battered watch that I wear to work. It’s beginning to turn my wrist orange.
17. My broken brush that I got years ago at Universal Studios in Florida.

And that's all the crap in my bag. Fun, no?

When I'm nervous:
I shake really bad and this past quarter, I discovered I get chest pains. I need meds lol.

I hope I have a better job. And I hope I can kiss someone under the mistletoe, because I never have and that's just fun.

Yeah unless I'm at work. I hate walking dogs in the rain. They stink, I stink, and everyone is muddy.

I LOVE storms. I can't wait until spring, for some more thunderstorms.

No way. Meat tastes too good to do that to myself.

Pretty much anything made from potatoes ... mashed potatoes, french fries, etc.

I always have weird dreams. I had strange ones last night but I think that was because I didn't really sleep much and I was freaked out lol.

Simon. That sounds like my boyfriend, right? It's the dog I'm watching. When I get off work tonight, I'll come back over here and watch tv with him. While he barks at me so he can go outside and chase squirrels.

What I'm wearing to work tonight- sweatpants, a longsleeved shirt and an OSU t-shirt over it. And pink socks with martini glasses on the side. Yes, I did indeed wear these socks on my birthday last week lol.

It's going pretty well. I'm pretty satisfied right now.

Eh. I'm dreading work tonight like usual, and while I was drying my hair, I knocked my makeup off the counter and broke my eyeshadow.

My parents and Emily and Kori. My dogs. A few aunts and uncles. It would be really nice if my extended family could get together around Christmas.

27. What are you thinking about right now?
How I'm really hungry. And I have a lot of things I need to do tomorrow.

A 2004 cavilier. Silver with a big dent on the hood from a sheet of ice flying off a truck and hitting me last winter. I need to get that fixed.

No plans for next summer I don't think. Just working, like usual.

33. When is the last time you laughed?
At work last night. When I got home and thought somebody was hiding behind the curtain lol. I had to laugh to keep from freaking out.

It would have been last night if I hadn't started laughing at myself. I was freaked. I even took a couple benedryl so I could calm down enough to sleep.

Graduated for almost three years.

Aw, it was from my dad. He told me I missed a present when we opened them Sunday night. Also that my sister and I got a Christmas check from my dad's aunt and uncle. It's funny when my dad tries to use chatspeak. I know that it takes him just as long as it would if he were to spell everything out in a text.

My dad. He called to make sure I got his text lol.

39. Last date?
Wow, like last August when I got tricked into a date with a crazy guy at work. That is pathetic. I guess you could also count when Kori and I went to dinner with Michael and his friend. It ended up being kind of like a double date.
